worthy of note

it's not too late to add your name to the Wall of Donors

The Wall of Donors is a beautiful feature located in the heart of the new Ridgefield Library, in the Bossidy Commons on the main floor. In the very near future the temporary Wall of Donors will be replaced by a permanent listing.

Names listed on the Wall of Donors include all of the families, individuals, businesses, corporations and government sources that have supported the Campaign for the New Ridgefield Library with a gift of $10,000 or more.

Gifts are still being accepted for a limited time. It’s not too late to have your name counted among those who have helped to make the new Library a reality. Pledges can be fulfilled over a 5 - year period.

To add your name to the Wall of Donors or to learn more about other giving options, contact Director of Development Laureen Bubniak at 203.438.2282 extension 11029 or click here for more information.

how we got to where we are

strategic plan, 2013-2016

Following several months of gathering data and input from over 600 people, the Library Board has adopted new strategic planning documents to guide us as we move into the New Ridgefield Library.

private fundraising to date as of 2/28/15: $15,512,053 from nearly 1,300 donors!

We are thrilled that we have surpassed the $15 million private fundraising goal in our Campaign for the New Ridgefield Library. Achieving this has taken the combined efforts of many people and nearly 1,300 donors. Crossing this threshold upholds the private fundraising commitment associated with the passing of the referendum in March 2012. Town funds of $5 million were released to the Library at the point in time when the cash on hand had been spent by the Library.

We continue to fundraise actively for costs associated with the roll-out of the New Library, including things such as advanced technology, relocation and interim operations, permits, marketing and fundraising and other costs in addition to bricks and mortar. Our goal is to raise an additional $2.8 million for these purposes.
